Basketball Recap: Marionville Snags Tenth Victory in Last 12 Games

Marionville lost to Diamond back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Marionville Comets took down the Diamond Wildcats 55-37. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Wildcats are ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marionville has also been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Diamond, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-11.

Marionville has already played their next game (against Ash Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Diamond has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Springfield Catholic.
