Basketball Recap: Giddings Lonestar Southeast Comes Up Short

Giddings Lonestar Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-54 heartbreaker at the hands of the Covenant Christian Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-49 last Friday.

Giddings Lonestar Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Covenant Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-17.

As of now, neither Giddings Lonestar Southeast nor Covenant Christian have any future games scheduled.
