Recap: Williamson Lions vs. Blount Leopards
Even though the Blount Leopards scored an imposing 67 points on Tuesday, the Williamson Lions still came out on top. Williamson had just enough and edged Blount out 69-67. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Williamson.
Several Leopards players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaiden Beck, who scored 26 points along with seven assists and four steals. The game was Beck's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Andrew Williams was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five assists and five steals.
Williamson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Blount, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Williamson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Leroy at 4:30 p.m. on December 15th. As for Blount, they will face off against Rain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Rain will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while Blount is ranked 115th).
