The Jones County Coyotes will head out on the road to square off against the Colome Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jones County has three straight wins, Colome has 14 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Jones County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 44-43 photo finish over Kadoka. The squad ran away with 28 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.

Meanwhile, Colome pushed their score all the way to 63 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 67-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bennett County.
Jones County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points per game. As for Colome, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.
Jones County beat Colome 63-50 when the teams last played on Tuesday. Does Jones County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Colome turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
