The San Dieguito Academy Mustangs will challenge the Canyon Crest Academy Ravens at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. San Dieguito Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
El Camino hit San Dieguito Academy with a four-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs fell 8-4 to the Wildcats.
Willow Wright was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Early, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Canyon Crest Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with an 11-7 win over Vista on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Ravens in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.
The team relied heavily on Andie Warner, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Sophie Kearse was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Canyon Crest Academy hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive games.
Canyon Crest Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-12-1. As for San Dieguito Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6-1.

However, it's not like Canyon Crest Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .314. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
