Basketball Recap: Hickory Ridge Takes a Loss

After flying high against A.L. Brown last Friday, Hickory Ridge came back down to earth. The Hickory Ridge Ragin' Bulls took a hard 74-55 fall against the Mooresville Blue Devils on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ragin' Bulls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-60 back in December of 2024.

Hickory Ridge now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Mooresville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.

Hickory Ridge and Mooresville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Hickory Ridge will face off against West Cabarrus at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday up 143 places (115 vs. 258). Meanwhile, Mooresville (ranked 37th) will meet South Iredell (ranked 486th) at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
