Fort Walton Beach and Bay are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2015, but likely not for long. The Fort Walton Beach Vikings will face off against the Bay Tornadoes at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Walton Beach is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Fort Walton Beach took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Rutherford 5-4.

The team relied heavily on Cannon Wilbur, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. Landon Rumfelt also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Bay's offense. They lost 12-0 to Bozeman on Friday. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Tornadoes were not able to get on the board.

Fort Walton Beach picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-4. As for Bay, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Fort Walton Beach took their victory against Bay in their previous meeting back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 16-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fort Walton Beach since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
