Softball Game Preview: Cane Bay Cobras vs. Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes

The Cane Bay Cobras will challenge the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Cane Bay has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Wednesday, Cane Bay didn't have quite enough to beat Carolina Forest and fell 4-3.

Isabella Kelly was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched six innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Jasmine Dargan was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Ashley Ridge's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against Summerville, falling 12-1. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Swamp Foxes couldn't push the score so high this time.

Cane Bay's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Ashley Ridge, they now have a losing record of 11-12-1.
