Recap: Crooms Academy Panthers vs. Taylor Wildcats

The Crooms Academy Panthers's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They secured a 65-59 W over Taylor. The victory was just what Crooms Academy needed coming off of a 54-29 defeat in their prior game.

Jayden Aristile continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Crooms Academy's points. Maxim Micallef was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds.

Despite the loss, Taylor still got an impressive performance from James Thomas, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. The contest was Thomas' 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anthony Miler, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Even though they lost, Taylor were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Crooms Academy only pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.

Crooms Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Taylor, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crooms Academy will take on Liberty Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Taylor and Crescent City will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
