Preview: Penn Hills Indians vs. Hampton Talbots
The Penn Hills Indians will head out on the road to take on the Hampton Talbots at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Penn Hills beat Woodland Hills 73-66. Given Penn Hills' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 67th, while Woodland Hills is ranked 236th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Hampton came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 57-53 win over Taylor Allderdice.
Penn Hills has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Hampton, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3.
