Basketball Recap: West Lincoln Comes Up Short

West Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Caldwell Warriors. The matchup was a 20-20 toss-up at halftime, but the Rebels couldn't quite close it out.

West Lincoln's defeat dropped their record down to 2-20. As for West Caldwell, their win bumped their record up to 3-15.

West Lincoln and West Caldwell could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. West Lincoln will challenge East Burke at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 481 places (504 vs. 23). Meanwhile, West Caldwell (ranked 448th) will meet Bandys (ranked 153rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
