The Somerset College Prep Academy Spartans will face off against the Lake Placid Dragons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Somerset College Prep Academy lost 3-0 to Jupiter Christian on Tuesday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jocelyn Burch, who had seven digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Hurtarte, who had eight kills.

Meanwhile, Lake Placid came up short against Sebring on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Dragons in their meetings with the Blue Streaks: they've now lost four in a row.

Lake Placid's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Somerset College Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.

Everything went Somerset College Prep Academy's way against Lake Placid when the teams last played back in August, as Somerset College Prep Academy made off with a 3-0 victory.
