Volleyball Recap: Woodland Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Woodland came into Thursday's game having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Dalton Academy Pumas by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pumas, too.

While Woodland won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-22.

Woodland picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 5-12. As for Dalton Academy, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Woodland and Dalton Academy will both be playing Gordon Central the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Pumas will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
