Preview: Bowsher BlueRacers vs. Sandusky Blue Streaks
Bowsher has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Sandusky Blue Streaks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Bowsher is ranked 320th, while Sandusky is ranked 329th).
Last Thursday, Bowsher was beaten by Northview 64-37.
Meanwhile, Sandusky had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 74-59 victory over Clyde. Sandusky's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Bowsher's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Sandusky, their win ended a 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-5.
Bowsher didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Sandusky in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bowsher since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
