Basketball Recap: Rylinn Spradling's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Logansport over West Lafayette

Logansport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost to the West Lafayette Red Devils at home by a 53-36 margin. The matchup was a 19-19 toss-up at halftime, but the Berries couldn't quite close it out.

Several Berries players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rylinn Spradling, who posted eight points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mady Baumgardner, who had eight points and four steals.

Logansport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for West Lafayette, their win bumped their record up to 3-10.

Logansport didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-24 loss against Maconaquah on the 21st. As for West Lafayette, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Western at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
