Recap: Purvis Tornadoes vs. Columbia Wildcats
The Purvis Tornadoes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Columbia as Purvis made off with a 75-53 victory. The result was nothing new for Purvis, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Purvis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Vann Brewer out in front who scored 19 points. Those 19 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacoby Robinson, who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists.
Purvis' win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Columbia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.
Purvis will be playing at home against Lawrence County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to face off against Poplarville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Poplarville comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
