Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Mesa Vista couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. The matchup between the Mesa Vista Trojans and the Pecos Panthers didn't end well, with the Mesa Vista Trojans falling 52-36. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their 15-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Mesa Vista still got an impressive performance from Tana Lopez, who posted 18 points along with seven steals and five boards. Lopez's big performance that afternoon made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Aubrey Maestas was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Mesa Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 26-4. As for Pecos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season.

Mesa Vista does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pecos, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-53 loss against Tatum on the 14th.
