Softball Game Preview: Ingomar Falcons vs. Hickory Flat Rebels

Ingomar is a perfect 3-0 against Hickory Flat since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Ingomar Falcons will venture away from home to face off against the Hickory Flat Rebels at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses dating back to last season for Ingomar and 12 for Hickory Flat dating back to last season.

Ingomar came up short against North Pontotoc on Tuesday, falling 16-1.

Meanwhile, Hickory Flat fell victim to Walnut and their airtight pitching crew last Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Wildcats.

Hickory Flat saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stormie Westmoreland, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

Hickory Flat's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Ingomar, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Ingomar was able to grind out a solid victory over Hickory Flat in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 9-5. Will Ingomar repeat their success, or does Hickory Flat have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
