Softball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Liberty's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Liberty hadn't done well against Bethlehem Catholic recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Hurricanes never let the Hawks get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Hurricanes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.

Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bethlehem Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will venture away from home to take on South Williamsport at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they will head out to challenge Nazareth Area at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
