Baseball Recap: San Gabriel Comes Up Short

San Gabriel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Mark Keppel Aztecs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Aztecs this season, with their most recent loss being a 15-3 defeat on Tuesday.

San Gabriel's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Mark Keppel, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-14-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Gabriel will take on Santa Clara at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.22 runs per game on average), something the Matadors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mark Keppel, they will challenge Glendale at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
