Basketball Recap: Peetz Takes a Loss

Peetz lost against Merino back in March of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Peetz Bulldogs were dealt a 54-13 loss at the hands of the Merino Rams. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-5.

Rylee Raffelson was Peetz's leading scorer, having posted six points.

Peetz's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Merino, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Peetz will take on Arickaree at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Merino, they are taking a road trip to face off against Brush at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Merino's defense has only allowed 21.1 points per game this season, so Brush's offense will have their work cut out for them.
