Basketball Recap: Goodrich Comes Up Short

Goodrich was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 57-23 defeat at the hands of the Chester Yellowjackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-19 last Saturday.

When it comes to explaining why Goodrich lost, don't look at Sky Wrightson. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Joshua James, who earned six points.

Goodrich's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Chester, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-7.

Goodrich will take on Hull-Daisetta in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Goodrich has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Chester has already played their next game, a 60-53 defeat against Leggett on the 19th.
