Baseball Game Preview: Northeast Eagles vs. Henry County Patriots

For the second straight game, Northeast will face off against Henry County. Northeast will challenge Henry County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northeast has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northeast is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Henry County on Friday. They lost 13-2 to the Patriots. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

For Henry County's part, Levi Peale looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave Peale a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Peyten Littleton, who went 4-for-5 with three doubles, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jamerson McClain, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Henry County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Henry County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Northeast, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
