Baseball Game Preview: Westinghouse Warriors vs. Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks

For the second straight game, Westinghouse will face off against Steinmetz College Prep. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Silver Streaks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Westinghouse has three straight victories, Steinmetz College Prep has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Westinghouse lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Steinmetz College Prep, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's matchup. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Silver Streaks on Wednesday. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Noah Morales was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Morales was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Myles McElrath was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Uziel Ojeda, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Steinmetz College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Westinghouse, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
