Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is St. Charles East's 12th in Last 14 Outings

St. Charles East extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Addie Schilb. The St. Charles East Fighting Saints put the hurt on the Oswego Panthers with a sharp 57-33 victory on Wednesday thanks in part to Schilb, who went 5 for 10 on her way to 13 points and eight steals. Those eight steals gave her a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kathlyn Bainbridge, who posted 12 points and six rebounds. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games.

St. Charles East is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy: their three-point shooting accuracy was 31.2% in those games and 36.5% outside of them. As for Oswego, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

St. Charles East has already played their next matchup, a 68-54 win against Wheaton-Warrenville South on the 16th. As for Oswego, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Oswego Panthers challenge the Plainfield South Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Plainfield South is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.7 points per game this season.
