Soccer Game Preview: Riverbank vs. Sierra

The Riverbank Bruins and the Sierra Timberwolves will round out the year against one another at at 12:15 p.m. on Monday.

Sierra will have to contend with a Riverbank team hungry for a win, something the squad hasn't seen since the fifth. Riverbank and Foothill finished up their game with a 3-3 draw on Friday.

Meanwhile, Sierra had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five last Thursday. They never let the Mustangs onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. Considering the Timberwolves have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Oakdale with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Preston Gallegos, Aydin Akca, Alejandro Sanchez, and Johan Arroyo.

Sierra pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matchups. With that draw, Riverbank's record moves to 3-5-3.
