Soccer Game Preview: Shawnee vs. Will Rogers College

The Shawnee Wolves will head out to face off against the Will Rogers College Ropers at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shawnee will be strutting in after a victory while Will Rogers College will be coming in after a defeat.

Shawnee will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Durant, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Wolves walked away with a 4-2 win over the Lions on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Shawnee considering their one-goal performance the game before.

Meanwhile, Will Rogers College came up short against McAlester on Tuesday and fell 4-2.

Shawnee has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those six matches. As for Will Rogers College, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-1.

Shawnee suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Will Rogers College when the teams last played back in February of 2021. Can Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
