Ponitz Career Tech never got on the board in their matchup on Tuesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Thurgood Marshall on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 23-4 margin over the Cougars. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Panthers in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Yafet Mehari was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Mehari was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maurice Carter, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Davarris Jones, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Ponitz Career Tech now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Thurgood Marshall, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
