Baseball Recap: Mulvane's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Mulvane dropped their record down to 10-3-2 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They lost 10-4 to the McPherson Bullpups. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bullpups earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Hays Ensley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

As for McPherson, their victory bumped their record up to 15-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.

On McPherson's side, Ian Razak made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts Razak has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Brody Seidl was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brock Richardson, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mulvane will host Buhler at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for McPherson, they will face off against Rose Hill on Tuesday.
