Basketball Game Preview: West Sabine Tigers vs. Tenaha Tigers

West Sabine is 0-3 against Tenaha since February of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as West Sabine comes in on three and Tenaha on 15.

Last Tuesday, West Sabine beat Hemphill 61-51. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 586th, while the Hornets are ranked 1296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tenaha earned a 45-32 win over Timpson on Friday.

Tenaha's victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 29-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.9 points over those games. As for West Sabine, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

West Sabine was dealt a bruising 98-10 defeat at the hands of Tenaha in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can West Sabine avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
