Soccer Recap: St. Johns Country Day Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, St. Johns Country Day was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bishop Moore Hornets. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

St. Johns Country Day's goal came courtesy of Adisienne Taylor, which was the first she's scored this season.

St. Johns Country Day's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3-1. As for Bishop Moore, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Johns Country Day will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clay at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Bishop Moore will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Bartram Trail at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
