Basketball Recap: Hoover Comes Up Short

Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 57-44 to the Linfield Christian Lions.

Linfield Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Xavier Cox, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Daniel Crawford, who went 6 of 12 en route to 15 points.

Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Linfield Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-12.

Hoover has already played their next matchup, a 65-62 loss against Hamilton on the 20th. As for Linfield Christian, they will square off against Woodcrest Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Linfield Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season.
