Football Recap: Nixa Beats Pattonville for Their 13th Straight Win

With a playoff win on the line, Nixa rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Pattonville Pirates, posting a 45-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won eight games by more than 27 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Jayden McCaster, who rushed for 176 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 135 rushing yards. Nixa also got a significant boost from Adam McKnight, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Another reason for the win was Nixa's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jax Adams and Wyatt Isaacson, who racked up all four sacks between them. Isaacson also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six. Another thorn in Pattonville's side was Reed Wilson, who made 11 total tackles and snagged an interception.

The victory keeps Nixa at an undefeated 13-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 45.8 points this season. As for Pattonville, they moved to 7-6 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
