Basketball Recap: Ferriday Comes Up Short

After flying high against Delta Charter last Friday, Ferriday came back down to earth. The Ferriday Trojans came up short against the Madison Jaguars on Tuesday, falling 65-45. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Jaguars from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

With the loss, Ferriday broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-6. As for Madison, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Ferriday and Madison should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Ferriday will take on Delhi Charter at 5:00 p.m. on Friday up 278 places (81 vs. 359). Ferriday is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. Similarly, Madison (ranked 92nd) will meet Mangham (ranked 227th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
