Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Schalick walked away with it. They walked away with a 35-28 victory over the Paulsboro Red Raiders on Saturday. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Paulsboro lost, don't look at Jeremiah Carr. Despite the final result, he rushed for 120 yards and two TDs on only 13 carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards and one touchdown. Carr's longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards.

The win (which was Schalick's third in a row) raised their record to 5-6. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 26.7 points over those games. As for Paulsboro, their loss dropped their record down to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Schalick is taking a road trip to challenge Glassboro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. Paulsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
