Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carter). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 63-61 win over the Knoxville Central Bobcats on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Green Hornets also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.

Carter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marah Yeo, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 21 points. What's more, Yeo also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in January of 2024. Aleeya Blair was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Carter's win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Knoxville Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

Carter will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Anderson County at 6:00 p.m. As for Knoxville Central, they will head out to take on Jefferson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
