Volleyball Recap: Pieper's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Pieper's tournament run continued when they took on Round Rock on Friday. The Warriors fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 2-1. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Their offense was headlined by Eva Planchet and Olivia Theis, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Dani McAllister and her 18 assists. Finally, Theis was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Aubrey Goode was the offensive standout of the match as she had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six games.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pieper fell to 4-1. As for Round Rock, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Pieper has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Celina on the 15th. As for Round Rock, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Liberty Hill on the 15th.
