Bacon came up big in Velma Jackson's 73-28 win
Winning always takes teamwork, but on Friday Cornell Bacon stepped things up a notch to give Velma Jackson the 'W'. Bacon was dialed in and scored seven points along with six rebounds and five steals. He played a big game the last time he faced French Camp Academy, so the team probably should've seen him coming.
Bacon and Velma Jackson won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Velma Jackson got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Tigers, probably because Bacon had a solid game then too: he scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
