After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lund, Wells was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They skirted past the Carlin Railroaders 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Wells who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-15, 19-25, 15-13.

The victory snapped Wells' losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 5-14 record. As for Carlin, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-11.

Wells has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Owyhee on the 10th. As for Carlin, after both having extra time off, they and Lund will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
