Softball Recap: Mt. Gilead Takes a Loss

Mt. Gilead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Danville Blue Devils, falling 13-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-0 on Tuesday.

Trinity Schrote was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Mt. Gilead's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Danville, they pushed their record up to 17-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mt. Gilead will challenge rival East Knox at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Danville is set to square off against their familiar foe Loudonville at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
