Baseball Recap: 13 Straight Home Victories for Central Catholic

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Catholic). They blew past the East Union Lancers 13-6 on Wednesday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Chase Perino was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Walker, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Central Catholic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as East Union struck out eight times.

Central Catholic pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for East Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.
