Benton is 10-0 against Haughton since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Benton Tigers will host the Haughton Buccaneers at 5:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Benton's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Haughton has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Haughton better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when Benton really get things going. Benton's defense stepped up to hand Ouachita Parish a 4-0 shutout on Saturday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, Haughton lost 8-1 to West Monroe on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Buccaneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Rebels are ranked 25th).

Haughton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Benton, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10-1.

Benton was able to grind out a solid win over Haughton in their previous matchup back in November of 2023, winning 4-2. Does Benton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Haughton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
