Durant had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They skirted past the Riverview Sharks 10-9. Ten seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Jackson MccClellan, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Shawn Graves was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Durant has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Riverview, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Looking ahead, Durant will take on Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 4, the Hawks 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Riverview does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
