Softball Recap: Colfax Takes a Loss

Colfax lost against Bear River back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Colfax Falcons fell 9-6 to the Bear River Bruins. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lila Hamasaki was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. Those home runs were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalli Amaral, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Hamasaki wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Colfax lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Colfax's record is now 1-4. As for Bear River, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colfax will face off against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Bear River, they will take on Oakmont at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bear River will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
