Soccer Game Preview: Fort Vancouver vs. Stevenson

The Fort Vancouver Trappers will face off against the Stevenson Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stevenson took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort Vancouver, who comes in off a win.

Fort Vancouver was handed a four-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against King's Way Christian, sneaking past 2-1.

Meanwhile, Stevenson fell victim to Seton Catholic and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Stevenson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 184th, while Seton Catholic are ranked 26th).

Fort Vancouver has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Stevenson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Fort Vancouver was able to grind out a solid win over Stevenson when the teams last played back in April, winning 2-0. Will the Trappers repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
