The Westbrook Wildcats will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the San Angelo HomeSchool Saints at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Westbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Westbrook is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on March 6th, they were much more limited against Nazareth on March 7th. They fell 7-2 to the Swifts.

Westbrook saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zane Beasley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Tyson Jones also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, San Angelo HomeSchool got themselves on the board against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy on Tuesday, but San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy never followed suit. They blew past the Eagles 15-0. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won five games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for San Angelo HomeSchool and bumps their season record up to 8-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Westbrook, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
