Soccer Recap: Douglas Byrd Takes a Loss

Douglas Byrd lost against South View back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Douglas Byrd Eagles came up short against the South View Tigers, falling 10-1. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 6-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Douglas Byrd and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for South View, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglas Byrd will face off against Gray's Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gray's Creek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season. As for South View, they will square off against Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
