Baseball Recap: Benavides Eagles vs. Bruni Badgers
Benavides stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bruni Badgers as the Benavides Eagles made off with a 20-5 win. Winning may never get old, but Benavides sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Shane Ryan was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Keith Viera, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his seven plate appearances.
Benavides' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. As for Bruni, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-14.
