Soccer Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Monroe was not quite Edgerton's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Crimson Tide by a score of 2-1. The loss continues a trend for Monroe in their meetings with Edgerton: they've now lost four in a row.

Monroe's goal came courtesy of Brock Brandli, who's now up to four this season.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6-1. As for Edgerton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5-2.

Looking ahead, Monroe will challenge Big Foot at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Monroe's defense better be ready for this one: Big Foot have averaged an impressive 4.1 goals per game this season. As for Edgerton, they will square off against Evansville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
