Basketball Recap: C.C. Quigley Key Part of Team Effort in Millers Win

There's no place like home for Noblesville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Indianapolis Crispus Attucks Tigers by a score of 61-51 on Saturday.

Noblesville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was C.C. Quigley, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 20 boards. With that strong performance, Quigley is now averaging an impressive 2.2 blocks per game. Norah Vetor was another key player, dropping a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds.

Noblesville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. They are a perfect 4-0 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Despite the loss, Indianapolis Crispus Attucks had strong showings from Kamrah Banks, who shot 5-for-8 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double with 25 points and ten boards, and Naomi Moses, who shot 50% from the field en route to 17 points. That was a full 49% of the Tigers' points, marking the third time in a row Banks has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Noblesville's record now sits at 5-3. As for Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Noblesville will face off against Fishers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Indianapolis Crispus Attucks, they will head out to take on Tindley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tindley will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Indianapolis Crispus Attucks surely won't give up without a fight.
